Industrial nitrocellulose
The production of industrial nitrocellulose has been a stable tradition in our company for more than 70 years. We focus on products that are mainly used in surface treatments of materials such as wood, leather and metals. Our industrial nitrocellulose is also widely used in the production of printing inks, nail polish and special analytical and medical membranes.
Industrial Nitrocellulose Type E
E-type nitrocellulose with a nitrogen content of 11.8–12.3% is characterised by up to 100% solubility in ester-type solvents and partial solubility in ethyl alcohol (4–20%), forming a hard film with good mechanical properties.
Nitrocellulose is classified as a hazardous substance. To limit its hazardous properties, it is necessary (in accordance with international regulations) to maintain a certain level of moisture in the material. Nitrocellulose must therefore be kept moist during transport and storage (the moisture content must not fall below 25%).
A range of industrial nitrocellulose products
Our portfolio includes the basic type E, available in a wide range of viscosities and with various moisture options according to customer requirements. Thanks to this variability, the products can be precisely tailored to specific technological and application needs.
